Brady Baby

Brayden's pastimes : pretending to weed the garden. Trying to eat matches. Destroying my tupperware cabinet. Wondering how HE can flush the toilet.

Reading stories to baby Isabelle - the story goes something like this "ji jijijij, lalalal, dada dada dada...."

And his most favorite pastime....hangin' with Dad. When Zac isn't home now he seems to constantly be looking for him. Oh...and if he gets in trouble he instantly starts going "da da da..." I'm not sure why he calls for Zac since Zac's just as firm as I am with Brady....he just likes him more I guess. Anyways, Brady is getting so big! He will be 15 months on the 19th and is growing like a weed. He has tons of teeth - I don't count them anymore, and he's in a size 5 shoe. He is signing the words "more" and the boy's version of "done." I'm glad he's picking it up since I just started it with him, makes things much easier to know what they want!

Brayden is one! He is getting EXTREMELY mobile....running, crawling, going up steps easily, he climbs on chairs, ect. He understands the sign for "milk" and sometimes does it to me when he sees me getting him some. I just started trying to sign with him....I never really thought of it before and now I wish I would have started in the very beginning.
Brady LOVES bananas. He doesn't eat any baby foods from the jar, I think we only did that for about 2 months and then I wanted him to eat big people food...mashed up of course. He also LOVES cheese and I just started giving him a little Natural Peanut Butter. Yesterday was his first day drinking real milk...I decided to use Organic Whole Milk for him...I think he like it.
He has learned to use a sippy cup and after we get back from our trip to El Paso in January we'll start taking the pacifier away in the daytime. I also want to start putting him on the potty chair sometime soon so he can start figuring out in his little head what that strange chair is!

Today we have had the blessing and the joy of having Brayden Allen in our family for 11 whole months! I can't believe how fast time has flown...last year at this time I was enormous and excited about the baby to come. Zac and I were nervous and excited about a baby entering our world. I would have to say that even though there have been many challenges, mostly we have had just tons of fun and joy. It's like I can't wait for Brady to go to bed because I'm tired and want alone time, but then at the same time when I get into bed I miss him terribly. I was telling my friend the other day about how it is so weird because even when Brayden isn't around me I can still smell his skin, feel him against me....I love being a mother. He is such a special little boy.
